Background:
A division of a pharmaceutical MNC plays a critical role in keeping up with the rapidly evolving and increasingly complex industry. Ongoing and effective learning is key. The division aims to evolve itself into a learning organization in order to facilitate the learning of all its members and continuously transform itself.
Approach:
In this change journey, we followed the steps of Enquire - Envision - Enable - Experiment - Embed to work WITH the people instead of ON the People. Every stage in this co-creation journey is a learning opportunity itself. During the stages of Enquire and Envision, we did the following:
- Communicate Repeatedly: weekly newsletter on the WHAT, WHY and HOW of a Learning Organization
- Understand through Stories and Survey: understand the current obstacles and motivators of learning by inviting people to share their experience
- Co-creation Forum: a 2.5-hour all-hands virtual workshop to mine the data and envision a unique Learning Organization
Outcomes:
Over 40 ideas generated by 250 employees to facilitate learning in the organization
